“Yes, punch me, in the face. Didn’t you hear me?”
“I always hear ‘punch me in the face’ when you’re speaking, but it’s usually subtext.”
I missed this show.
When “The Great Game” ended I was sitting before my TV screen, literally screaming, because the cliffhanger came so unexpected and I couldn’t believe I had to wait another whole year to find out the solution for the pool scene. Now Sherlock has returned, and it is better than ever before. The dialogues, body language and relationship of Sherlock and Watson are top class, and even all the secondary characters are written so well that they don’t feel secondary at all. I especially enjoyed seeing more of Mycroft this time, and I loved what they did to the character of Irene Adler. Too bad we’ll probably not see her again though. Also the use of type and camera work were cutting-edge, I can’t even put into words how much I purely enjoy watching the episode alone for this two factors. Brilliant series is simply brilliant again.
“Just once, can you two behave like grown-ups?”
“We solve crimes. I blog about it, and he forgets his pants. I wouldn’t hold out too much hope.”
